Selected Credit Fund I

We provide loans to Nordic companies and projects with real underlying value and financing needs that are not fully met by traditional banks.

This may include, among other things, real estate projects and profit-generating operating companies. The fund does not invest in technology companies or intangible assets.

Through many years of working with alternative investments and real assets, we have built a network and gained insights that provide access to attractive investment opportunities for our investors.

Tobias Møller, COO Selected Group

“The credit fund is a natural extension of our existing strategy, which focuses on offering relevant products to our investors while adapting to market demand and opportunities. It strengthens our ability to engage in projects in areas where we have already built up solid experience.”

The Key Information Document is a document known as the PRIIP KID.

The term PRIIP refers to packaged insurance and investment products for retail customers. For this type of product, there is a requirement to prepare a document containing key information about the product.

The document is called a KID, which stands for Key Information Document. It is comparable to the Key Information Document, which is intended to help investors understand how an investment product works and to enable them to compare a product with other similar investment products. However, the KID contains slightly more details and information, as the products are typically more complex.

You can find our Key Information Document here:

Dokument med central information (KID) Selected Credit Fund I

Selected Credit Fund I has a risk rating of 6 out of 7 according to the fund’s Key Information Document (KID), and you can read the document containing key information here.

The risk in the fund is primarily related to the credit risk of the underlying borrowers, including the risk that a borrower will be unable to meet its payment obligations or that the value of the collateral provided will fall below the amount of the loan. The fund mitigates this risk through thorough credit assessment, tailored collateral structures, and ongoing monitoring of each individual exposure.

Credit funds of this type are exposed to the risk that market conditions may change during the term of the loans, including interest rate hikes, deteriorating macroeconomic conditions, or sector-specific challenges faced by borrowers. However, the fund’s management and the manager have extensive experience in structuring and managing the types of companies to which loans are granted, which reduces the likelihood of unforeseen losses, although these cannot be ruled out.

The expected return reflects the risk premium associated with providing financing to companies and projects that do not have access to or do not wish to use traditional bank financing. This risk is mitigated by mechanisms tailored to individual loan cases, which may include loans secured by collateral, financial covenants, and other contractual protection mechanisms that allow the fund to act upon signs of credit deterioration.

Illiquidity risk is a natural part of the investment, as the fund’s loans are not traded on a regulated market. Investors should therefore have an investment horizon corresponding to the fund’s term and accept that it is not possible to sell or redeem shares on demand.
